The much anticipated iPhone 4 price and availability was announced by Steve Jobs in WWDC 2010 during his Keynote speech. Many awesome features were revealed during the event. iPhone 4′s design is unique and brand new, compared to iPhone, iPhone 3G and 3GS.
iPhone 4 is the thinnest iPhone ever! It’s also made of stainless steel! The glass is scratch resistant and crystal clear to produce the highest optical quality. It has a front camera for Video Chat using iChat.
iPhone 4 has a 3.5 inch retina display, 960 x 640 pixels (that’s 4x more than the previous iPhone), its display has 326 pixels per inch, 800:1 contrast ratio, and has IP technology for superb color and wide angle viewing.
It has a 5 mega-pixel camera which can digitally zoom 5x. iPhone 4 is powered by the A4 processor. Its speed is unmatched compared to the previous iPhone of course.
iPhone 4′s battery life is also improved! 7 hours of 3G talk, 6 hours 3G browsing, 10 hours Wi-Fi browsing, 10 hours music, 40 hours of music, and 300 hours in standby mode.
Its capacity is up to 32GB. It’s a quad band HSDPA / HSUPA phone with dual microphones and 802.11n Wi-Fi.
Another cool thing about iPhone 4 is it has a Gyro-accelerometer, which provides 6-axis motion sensing! Oh wow!
It can record 720p HD videos at 30 frames per second. You can just tap it to focus and it has video-editing capabilities. iMovie is now available in all iPhones, including the old ones. Just upgrade your OS to iOS4.
Not all features are available in the old iPhone, but you can avail some of the new features of the iPhone 4 if you upgrade to iOS4. The upgrade is free and will be released on June 21, 2010.
iPhone 4 has also multitasking capability, which is another awesome addition to the iPhone features.
Price and availability of iPhone 4 is also announced. It comes in two colors, the black and white. Price is $199 USD for the 16GB model, and $299 USD for the 32GB model. Pre-orders of iPhone will start a week from now.

Verizon iPhone 4G (iPhone 5) would still likely be separate hardware model

As it stands now, the iPhone 4 includes technology to operate on both AT&T’s current 3G and previous EDGE network, because many small towns don’t yet have 3G network access. Fast forward to the AT&T 4G rollout, and is there any reason to believe that 4G will instantly blanket the entire nation right out of the gate? As it stands, there’s not even a guarantee that 3G will reach every American town by the time 4G starts to roll out. In other words, an AT&T-based 4G iPhone could be operating on three different AT&T networks – and that’s before the issue of other carriers is even addressed.
For the sake of simplicity, let’s give AT&T the benefit of the doubt and leave the ancient EDGE network out of the equation, and assume that an AT&T-compatible 4G iPhone would need to include both the 4G and 3G networks. Now, try adding Verizon compatibility to the mix. Let’s say Verizon’s 4G does in fact end up being full compatible with AT&T’s 4G. That’s great, but unless both carriers immediately have 4G access ready to go nationwide, any unified “4G iPhone” would need to remain backwards-compatible with both AT&T’s 3G network and Verizon’s CDMA network. In other words, a unified 4G iPhone 5 would have to be compatible with both legacy networks in addition to 4G, meaning that such an iPhone would be an even bigger compatibility challenge than the current prospects of building a hybrid 3G iPhone 4 in 2010.
The far more likely path in 2011 for the 4G iPhone 5 is that if it does indeed expand to Verizon, it’ll still come in two different hardware iterations: an “AT&T iPhone 5″ which would include 4G access plus AT&T’s GSM-based 3G access, and a “Verizon iPhone 5″ which would include 4G access plus Verizon’s CDMA-based 3G access. The only way a true hybrid model would work is if it were a miracle of hybrid engineering (word has it Apple has been trying and failing in this particular capacity since 2007), or if AT&T and Verizon both manage to fully roll out their 4G networks to every EDGE-infested nook and cranny of the country from day one (U.S. cellular carriers doing something more than they have to?).
This then begs the question: if a 4G iPhone 5 in 2011 is still going to have to come with a separate CDMA-compatible model just to be able to fully work for all Verizon customers, then how is that a bigger deal than Apple launching a separate Verizon-specific iPhone 4 model in 2010? And if that’s the case, then why is Apple still waiting?

The iPhone 5 built for 4G is COMING!!!
Lots of speculation is going around on the new iPhone 5... in HD!!Verizon Wireless is currently testing a CDMA version of the iPhone 4 and 5 and Verizon confirms they are making network changes to bring the iphone to their network. The new iPhone 5 is going to be loaded with awesome new features like video chat on 3g and 4g (no longer restricted to WiFi only), face recognition and extreme downloading. (List of possible features below). Just when you think there is nothing else to come up with, more and more and more technology comes out. And it is on the rise, and not just at Apple, Inc!
This iPhone 5 will have dual core processors and higher and powerful graphic chips that can deliver higher video resolutions and better "still" images when taking pictures, AND it will make multi-tasking a breeze.
There are a few networks working on building a 4G network. T-mobile would be a likely carrier since they are GSM already. Sprint has a 4G network already... AT&T and Verizon Wireless are in the beginning stages. There are talks of Verizon Wireless getting iPhone sometime in 2010 but it looks like they will get it for sure in 2011 when the new iPhone 5 comes out.
Whether or not it will be 4G will be up to them!... can they build in time? They will definitely have the 3G version of iPhone, but with the new iPhone 5 (4g speeds) coming out, will they compete?! Regardless, there is much anticipation on how many people will leave AT&T for Verizon Wireless because of AT&T's lagging on app restrictions like Slingplayer and Google Voice and Skype (on 4g network, not Wi-Fi).
AT&T's restrictions have caused the percentage of people that are JailBreaking their iPhones to rise since Jail Breaking usually comes with Cydia which is the app store for jail broken phones. Most of the applications, ringtones, and even iphone themes!...are free with Cydia. Winterboard is part of the download, and it very easily add's the changes to your phone so you dont have to figure how to do it on your own...it is VERY automated.
The Palm Pre on Sprint and HTC EVO (Sprint now offering a 4G network) has made an attempt at being competitive with iPhone and Blackberry...and it seems they are making head way, although with the iPhone 4 released and the iPhone 5 on the way, they are sure to lose. Oh ya, the Blackberry Torch? = Nice try... but that browser is NOT full HTML.
iPhone 5 looks promising in terms of being sleek, packed with new hardware and finally less restrictions. Very exciting.
